It is a wonderful thing to just enjoy God's creation and draw near to Him because of who He is. I wrote this while sitting outside in my grandparent's backyard.
Like a child on that old rope swing, smiling, laughing, and so carefree- bring me back to You.
Like a single flower in a field of weeds, standing boldy, though, what a fragile thing-
bring me back to You.
For so long, I have waited for that clear loud voice
as if I could hear a thing amidst all of the other noise.
A soft whisper.
Really, that will do,
but I must admit,my heart tends to drift somewhere else and not with You.
As I sit in the shade of that big oak tree,
I am in awe of Your creation,
And I reflect on Your words "Abide in Me".
